Two Dark Truths

I Killed Hemingway What I dislike the most about electric shock is the smell. That, and the little sound it makes which I didn’t hear at first. What with the humming of the machine, the doctors talking, and the patient moaning and even screaming sometimes, it was hard to hear, but once I did, once I heard this sound, distinct from all the other sounds in the room, now I can’t stop hearing it. This story is the confession of a psychiatric nurse who helped kill an American icon. A Larry Comes “And what did God tell you, Sandy? Precisely. All of it, please.” So I told her. All that I’ve already told you at the beginning of this story. It took a while to tell, for I left nothing out. No point now. CarefulHeSaid all blown to bits now. Millions of useless little bits. When God visited Sandy He admonished him to be careful, to not tell anyone. Sandy slipped up and told. And now he needs to be cured. This story explores and exposes the most fraudulent “cure” of our times: the electric shock. You will never again trust its apostles.
