Still Alive

On an old and violent world I feel a riddle unfurl for my lungs have married water and I am still alive From a dark and hungry sea I surface tentatively for my breath has ceased to be and I am still alive My heart once so near sinking still leaving me here in air but oh so clear I am still alive Viewed from here it does make sense and so I wonder at my physical pretence as my thoughts embrace silence and I am still alive Have no wing and yet I fly Have no face no ear and no eye Now that I have married sky I am all alive
