Reappear

I’m back off the coast of North Africa. We’re in port, but it’s stormy. The mooring lines strain and complain, the ship surges back and forth against the fenders, the night is cold and I have taken refuge in my little cabin, in my guitar, and in my songs.

I thought back on things, far back, and this song emerged.

Reappear I'm back off the coast of North Africa. We're in port, but it's stormy. The mooring lines strain and complain, the ship surges back and forth against the fenders, the night is cold and I have taken refuge in my little cabin, in my guitar, and in my songs.

The Words:

My friend
my friend
time has known you
ever since the world began

My friend
my friend
I have known you
ever since the stars were young

Then there came changes so great
that you disappeared

Now, here are changes so great
that you reappear
reappear
reappear
