When it comes to both reading and writing, fiction is, and forever will be, my first love.
I love falling through the written page and into story, winds in my face, salt spray in my hair, lost to the immediate world, living the fictional dream full tilt.
As pleasures go, I know of few that beat reading good fiction.
I used to say that I wrote fiction for the heart (as Ananda Wolf), and non-fiction for the belly, i.e., pay-check (as Ulf Wolf), but that no longer holds true. These days I write both fiction and non-fiction from the heart and for the heart.
I have retained the personal distinction though, Ulf Wolf is the guy who writes non-fiction, and Ananda Wolf (his fictional very much identical twin) is the guy who writes fiction.
